You can find several of Lets’ pencil drawings at our store. Each depicts a different image from Africa, from wildlife scenes to portraits of domestic village life.
My husband and I met “Lets” during a trip to Duba Plains in Botswana. Duba Plains is famous for its unique Buffalo and Lion interactions. Lets was a guide-in-training at the time. One day Lets was one of our guides when we went out to do someand Lets were looking for birds and we inadvertently surprised a herd of especially wild elephants and were charged!
Lets is immersed in nature every day, and in his spare time he likes to draw the animals he has seen, as well as scenes from traditional African life.
“My name is Letsogile Lets Kamo gelo, born on the 24\09\83 in a village called Bobonong in Botswana. I grew up with an art talent which i started it as a hobbie not knowning that its a talent that i can use to put food on the table. I have several art certificates that i got while i was still at high school and also attended several workshops when i was still teaching before i joined my present career of working as a guide. And most of my drawings are based on wildlife and also african traditional life since that basically what inspires me to take a pencil and start drawing.My future goal is to become a well know proffessional artist and do some solo exhibitions. Apart from pencil drawing i also use some oil pastels, painting as well as sculptures."
